Linen-toned decorative pillow | Morris & Co. Brook

JH Dearle (1859 – 1932) was a British textile and glass artist, and an apprentice of William Morris, who later became the chief designer of Morric & Co. “The Brook Tapestry” is one of JH Dearle’s most famous illustrations.

The decorative cushion, designed in collaboration between the English company Riva Home and Morris & Co., was inspired by JH Dearle's illustration and William Morris's concept of tapestries as the culmination of decorative art.

The pillowcase's sophisticated embroideries aim for the precision and detail of medieval tapestries.

The pattern of deer standing by a murmuring stream is embroidered in subdued neutral tones on a linen-toned velvet fabric.

The width of the decorative cushion is 60cm and the height is 40cm.

Filling: 80% down, 20% polyester. The feather filling of the decorative cushion is 100% RDS-certified down.

The Responsible Down Standard (RDS) certifies products that contain feathers and down from certified farms. It ensures that the feathers and down used in padded products come from geese and ducks raised in accordance with animal welfare principles and criteria. The feathers are obtained as a by-product of the food industry.
