Blue-green coconut fiber doormat | Morris & Co. Strawberry Thief
The blue-green "Strawberry Thief" doormat is inspired by one of the most iconic works of the 19th century, by the master of the Arts & Crafts movement, William Morris (1834-96). The image of the doormat comes from the archive collections of the Victoria and Albert Museum.
In the original work, which is in the Victoria and Albert Museum, as in this doormat, the attention is drawn to the thrushes stealing strawberries in the grounds of the Morris estate in Oxfordshire.
Doormat dimensions: width 90 cm x depth 60 cm
The handmade doormat is responsibly produced in the state of Kerala, India. The surface material of the doormat is coconut fiber. Coconut fiber is obtained from the shell of the coconut and is a compostable natural material. Only environmentally friendly dyes are used in the dyeing of the doormat.
The underside of the doormat is plastic.
