This high-quality jacquard-woven decorative cushion cover features the Tree of Life, designed by William Morris and one of the most famous and respected works of the Arts and Crafts movement. Originally produced as a wall hanging by Morris & Co in 1879, the pattern represents Morris's desire to return to traditional craft methods rather than industrial mass production.
The decorative pillow features a green-toned tree on a black background.
The fabric of this cushion cover is woven into a fabric using jacquard looms. Jacquard weaving (also known as jacquard weaving) is a technique in which intricate patterns are woven directly into the fabric by crossing warp and weft threads, rather than being printed onto the surface of the fabric. The technique creates subtle three-dimensionality and varying textures in the fabric. Because the pattern is part of the fabric's structure, it does not wear out in the same way as a printed image.
Made in Belgium, which has been the cradle of tapestries since the 15th century.
The patterned side of the decorative pillowcase is 86% cotton and 14% blended yarns. The beige reverse side is cotton and solid color.
We recommend dry cleaning.
