Product Information

Fyrbo is a hand-woven Röllakan-style flat-weave wool rug from the Classic Collection Heritage series, where a recurring block pattern inspired by traditional Swedish textiles creates a clear graphic look.

The subdued shades of forest green, sage, and sand create a peaceful and harmonious whole, which beautifully suits both modern and classic interiors.

The reversible flat-weave structure makes the rug practical and easy to place even under furniture.

Wool as a material provides natural durability and repels dirt, while its beautiful matte surface stylishly patinates over time.

The rug's thickness is 0.7 cm.

Since the rug is hand-woven, dimensions may vary by +/- 5%.

Small variations in weaving and shades are a sign of authentic craftsmanship and make each rug unique. The country of manufacture for the rug is India.

The Swedish manufacturer Classic Collection is a member of the Care & Fair organization, which aims to improve the working conditions of artisans and their families in India, Nepal, and Pakistan.

Care instructions

Vacuum regularly: Vacuum both sides of the rug and the floor underneath. Do not use a brush nozzle and reduce suction power. Avoid vacuuming edges, bindings, and fringes. Pile rugs should be vacuumed in the direction of the pile.

Non-slip pad: Use a non-slip pad to protect both the rug and the floor and prevent the rug from slipping.

Long pile: Comb long-pile rugs regularly with a wide-toothed comb to maintain their appearance.

Shedding: Wool rugs shed fibres, especially when new. This is normal and a natural characteristic of wool. Vacuum regularly with the brush nozzle retracted to remove excess fibres.

Rotate the rug: Rotate the rug regularly to ensure even wear and exposure to light.

Protect from heavy furniture: Use furniture pads under heavy furniture to prevent indentations and uneven wear.

Avoid direct sunlight: Prolonged exposure to strong sunlight can cause fading. Use curtains or place the rug in an area where light exposure is even.

Moisture and spills: Clean spills immediately to prevent water damage. Wool absorbs moisture, so avoid placing the rug in damp environments.

Stains

Blot wet stains immediately with paper towels. Scrape dry stains gently from the edges inwards. Use lukewarm water and mild soap or gall soap. Do not rub the stain – gently dab with a cloth and absorb the liquid. Repeat if necessary.

For difficult stains, contact a professional rug cleaner as soon as possible.

Rug washing

Always have your rug washed flat by a reputable rug cleaning service. Wool rugs should not be machine washed or dry cleaned.

Further information

Wool rugs may have a natural lanolin smell that dissipates over time. Airing in a well-ventilated room helps reduce the smell more quickly. Cut loose fibres or fringes with scissors – never pull them.

Small interior decorations are available in our store, but we mainly store furniture in our warehouse, which is located 1km from the store. There is no staff at the warehouse, so please contact us and arrange pickup a day in advance. Pickup time from the warehouse is preferably before 10 AM or after 6 PM.

For most interior decoration products and non-wooden furniture, the delivery fee is determined by weight according to the list below:

For fragile antique products and furniture, volume also plays a role in determining the delivery fee. The shopping cart calculates the delivery fee based on your address.

Packages are delivered to the nearest pickup point. Furniture is delivered to your home. The furniture delivery fee includes delivery to the outer door, not inside delivery, unless mentioned in the product information or offer.
