This teak shutter is also an original element from an old Javanese house.

These teak shutters found in Purwodad, Central Java, are estimated to be 70-90 years old. Locals call these shutters "krepyak". This pair of handmade shutters features salmiak patterns on the top and bottom, with a traditional latticework between them.

Our customers have used shutters not only as decoration but also as a cover door for an electrical cabinet, for example.

The shutters are sold individually. There are two products for sale. As the products are individual, there may be color variations. These shutters are also teak-colored on the back.

Shutter dimensions: width 77 cm, depth 6 cm and height 120 cm.

The origin of Vintage by Sasu's products

We have been working with Shreya Furniture from Indonesia for over ten years. The core of their business is finding old items in local rural buy-and-sell shops, which to Westerners often resemble junkyards, and renovating the items they find there. With the help of Shreya Furniture, we also occasionally have products other than old items for sale.

Product information

Our vintage products have a real touch of craftsmanship. First, someone has made the product by hand and then years later, the product has been restored by hand.

There is rarely more than one vintage item, making these treasures true collectors' items.
