Product Information

The soft, thick-piled Solid rug is handmade. The plain wool rug is suitable for the bedroom, living room, kitchen, and hallway.

Rug thickness: 2 cm.

As the rug is hand-woven, measurements may vary by +/- 5%.

Each handmade rug is unique in terms of weaving and coloring as well.

The rug is made in India. The Swedish manufacturer Classic Collection is a member of the Care & Fair organization, which aims to improve working conditions for artisans and their families in India, Nepal, and Pakistan.

Care instructions

Vacuum regularly: Vacuum both sides of the rug and the floor underneath. Do not use a brush nozzle and reduce the suction power. Avoid vacuuming edges, bindings, and fringes. Pile rugs should be vacuumed in the direction of the pile.

Non-slip underlay: Use a non-slip underlay to protect both the rug and the floor and prevent the rug from slipping.

Long pile: Regularly comb long-pile rugs with a wide-toothed comb to maintain their appearance.

Shedding: Wool rugs shed fibers, especially when new. This is normal and part of wool's natural properties. Vacuum regularly, retracting the brush nozzle to remove excess fibers.

Rotate the rug: Rotate the rug regularly to ensure even wear and exposure to light.

Protect from heavy furniture: Use furniture pads under heavy furniture to prevent indentations and uneven wear.

Avoid direct sunlight: Prolonged exposure to strong sunlight can cause fading. Use curtains or place the rug in an area where light exposure is even.

Moisture and spills: Clean spills immediately to prevent water damage. Wool absorbs moisture, so avoid placing the rug in damp environments.

Stains

Blot wet stains immediately with paper towels. Gently scrape dry stains from the edges inwards. Use lukewarm water and mild soap or bile soap. Do not rub the stain – gently dab with a cloth and absorb the liquid. Repeat if necessary.

For difficult stains, contact a professional rug cleaner as soon as possible.

Rug cleaning

Always have your rug flat-washed at a reputable rug cleaning service. Wool rugs should not be machine-washed or dry-cleaned.

Additional information

Wool rugs may have a natural lanolin scent, which will dissipate over time. Airing in a well-ventilated room will help reduce the smell faster. Cut any loose fibers or fringes with scissors – never pull them.

Small interior decorations are available in our store, but we mainly store furniture in our warehouse, which is located 1km from the store. There is no staff at the warehouse, so please contact us and arrange pickup a day in advance. Pickup time from the warehouse is preferably before 10 AM or after 6 PM.

For furniture deliveries, we choose the transport company based on the customer's needs, delivery location, and the furniture to be delivered. We want to ensure that the furniture arrives at your home intact.

For most interior decoration products and non-wooden furniture, the delivery fee is determined by weight according to the list below:

For fragile antique products and furniture, volume also plays a role in determining the delivery fee. The shopping cart calculates the delivery fee based on your address.

Packages are delivered to the nearest pickup point. Furniture is delivered to your home. The furniture delivery fee includes delivery to the outer door, not inside delivery, unless mentioned in the product information or offer.
