The Merino rug is a hand-woven wool rug with a soft and pleasant surface. The large 3 m wide and 4 m long rug is made from a wool blend of 85% New Zealand wool and 15% European wool, which creates a naturally durable and dirt-repellent surface for the rug. The rug has a cotton warp. The rug is reversible, which increases the durability and lifespan of the rug. Create a stylish and harmonious interior with this beautiful and functional rug in your bedroom, living room, kitchen or hallway.

The thickness of the mat is 1.5 cm.

Delivery time

The Classic Collection rugs are available in store. We do not stock rugs, but deliver them directly from the manufacturer to your home within 1-2 weeks. The same cancellation and return policies apply to custom-made products as other online store orders.

Care instructions

Vacuum regularly: Vacuum both sides of the carpet and the floor underneath the carpet. Do not use the brush nozzle and reduce the suction power. Avoid vacuuming the edges, edging and fringes. Pile carpets should be vacuumed in the direction of the pile.

Rug backing: Use a rug backing to protect both the rug and the floor and prevent the rug from slipping.

Long pile: Comb long pile carpets regularly with a wide-toothed comb to maintain their appearance.

Dusting: Wool rugs will shed fibers, especially when new. This is normal and part of the natural properties of wool. Vacuum regularly by pulling the brush nozzle in to remove excess fibers.

Turn the rug: Turn the rug regularly to ensure even wear and light exposure.

Protect from heavy furniture: Use furniture pads under heavy furniture to prevent dents and uneven wear.

Avoid direct sunlight: Prolonged exposure to strong sunlight can cause fading. Use curtains or place the rug in a place where the light is evenly distributed.

Moisture and spills: Clean up spills immediately to prevent water damage. Wool absorbs moisture, so avoid placing the rug in damp environments.

Discoloration

Blot wet stains immediately with paper towels. Gently scrape dry stains from the edges inwards. Use lukewarm water and mild soap or dish soap. Do not rub the stain – gently dab with a cloth and absorb the liquid. Repeat if necessary.

For difficult stains, contact a professional cleaner as soon as possible.

Carpet cleaning

Always wash the carpet flat with a reliable cleaner. Wool carpets should not be machine washed or dry cleaned.

More information

Wool rugs may have a natural lanolin odor that will dissipate over time. Airing in a well-ventilated room will help reduce the odor faster. Trim any loose fibers or fringes with scissors – never pull them.

The furniture can be found in our store, but we mainly store our furniture in our warehouse, which is located 1km from the store. The warehouse is not staffed, so please contact us and arrange a pick-up the day before. Pick-up time from the warehouse is preferably before 10 am or after 6 pm.

The delivery time for custom products varies depending on the supplier. The delivery time for products made from teak and shipped from Indonesia is 3-4 months. The delivery time for other suppliers is 2-4 weeks. We try to provide the delivery time for custom products in the product information.
