Old teak wood decorative panels have traditionally served as room dividers in Javanese houses. These panels are commonly called "gebyok" and represent Javanese culture and craftsmanship at its finest.

The panels were found in Sidoarjo, East Java, and their age is estimated to be 90 - 100 years.

These antique panels are teak colored on one side. You can use the panel both indoors and outdoors. The paint on the panel can be sanded off.

The origin of Vintage by Sasu's products

We have been working with Shreya Furniture from Indonesia for over ten years. The core of their business is finding old items in local rural buy-and-sell shops, which to Westerners often resemble junkyards, and renovating the items they find there. With the help of Shreya Furniture, we also occasionally have products other than old items for sale.

Product information

Our vintage products have a real touch of craftsmanship. First, someone has made the product by hand and then years later, the product has been restored by hand.

There is rarely more than one vintage item, making these treasures true collectors' items.
