Installing a magnetic board
For quick and easy installation, the surface must be intact, flat and clean. For example, a completely flat wall (not textured, not plastered), a door, a cabinet door, a wooden board, etc.
We recommend cleaning the selected base with a clean cloth to remove dirt and dust.
The magnetic board is installed from top to bottom or from bottom to top, for example if you are installing it on a baseboard.
Peel the protective film off the board a few centimeters and start attaching while smoothing the board with your hand or a clean cloth. Once you have a little grip on the board, carefully pull the protective film off the board as you smooth the board.
If at any time you have installed the board in the wrong place or an air bubble appears, pull the board off and reposition it (provided you have not fully glued your Ferflex ® board, see removal instructions below). Allow the adhesive to dry for approximately 48 hours before using the board.
Remember to keep the protective film in case you want to remove the board and use it again.
The magnetic board adhesive sticks and comes off without leaving any residue, provided the magnetic board is mounted on an intact surface.
A few tips
Do not install on a freshly painted surface. If you have just painted a wall, wait 4-6 months before applying wallpaper or a magnetic board.
Avoid places with large temperature fluctuations, such as next to a radiator.
For custom installation, it is easy to cut the board with a carpet knife or scissors.
Removing the magnetic board
Start at the top and pull very gently downwards. Fold the surface onto itself in a U-shape as you remove it, always working your hands as close to the wall as possible. Be careful, as pulling the surface material at a right angle or with a sharp pull can put too much tension on the adhesive and damage your wall.
To reduce the tension on the painted surface during removal, you can heat the material with a hair dryer to soften the glue. Hold the hair dryer 20-25 cm away from the black base, making continuous circles.
Place a protective film on the adhesive surface behind the painting. This will prevent dust from collecting there. Roll up the painting or wallpaper, black side out, and store until the next installation!
