The lampshade is available in 5 different sizes and 12 different colors! You can combine shades of different sizes and create a completely unique and personal ceiling lamp by using a ceiling pendant cord with multiple wires.
French company La Case de Cousin Paul's lampshades are handcrafted in Thailand. The company has ingeniously solved the logistical challenge of lampshades - lampshades normally take up a lot of space in their packaging, so transporting them is not energy-efficient given their weight. La Case de Cousin Paul lampshades are delivered in a small box. The lampshade is folded in the package and the shape is achieved with the help of a balloon!
The ceiling suspension cord is sold separately. We recommend a set of our own ceiling suspension cords designed for the lampshade bracket. If you purchase the ceiling suspension cord from elsewhere, please ensure that the cord diameter is max. 7.5mm.
Availability
The La Case de Cousin Paul lampshade collection includes 120 different lampshades! As a result, we cannot keep all options in stock. If the lampshade you want is not in stock, we will order the lampshade from your order and the delivery time is 2-4 weeks. We order lampshades from the supplier about 2 times a month. The normal right of cancellation and return also applies to the ordered product.
Installation instructions
The lampshade is folded in its packaging. The packaging includes everything you need to straighten the shade into shape and fasteners to attach the shade to the cord.
Allow 12 hours from opening the shade to hanging it as a ceiling lamp.
Before you start straightening the lampshade, think about where you will hang it to dry and have a thin string nearby. Read the instructions below and watch the instructional video.
Please note that the instruction video includes instructions for setting up both the Globe and Cupola shade. The instructions only differ in how to use the balloon, but it is important to place the balloon inside the shade exactly as instructed.
Carefully open the folded shade and inflate the balloon included in the package. The package includes illustrated instructions and the product page also includes a video instruction on how to use the balloon.
Once the balloon is inflated and closed, tie a string around the mouth of the balloon to make it easy to hang the lampshade after the next step.
Wet the shade with water. A small water spray bottle is included in the package. Wet the shade thoroughly all over.
Hang the lampshade for about 12 hours to allow it to dry into its shape.
Finally, attach the mounting plates and tighten them to the cord. The lamp is ready to hang.
